Domestic relief organization Hope Pebble (Secretary General Lee Jae Won) announced on the 6th that NCT Haechan's fandom donated 600,000 won to support children in need in Korea in celebration of Haechan's birthday.
The 600,000 won ($440 USD) donated by NCT Haechan's fandom 'Woorichil Haechandalgeul' will be used to provide daily necessities for children and teenagers from vulnerable groups in Korea, according to the donor's wishes.
NCT Haechan himself also demonstrated good deeds last year by donating 50 million won ($36,500 USD) for emergency relief efforts for wildfire victims in Maui, Hawaii in August 2023.
The fandom 'Woorichil Haechandalgeul' stated, "We are happy to continue the positive influence of NCT Haechan by making a donation for children in need through Hope Pebble in celebration of his birthday on June 6th. We hope that children and teenagers in Korea can grow up dreaming brightly without difficulties."
Lee Jae Won, Secretary General of Hope Pebble, expressed gratitude, saying, "We thank the fandom 'Woorichil Haechandalgeul' for spreading positive influence and contributing to the culture of giving in Korea. We will do our best to ensure that the aid reaches the children and teenagers in need promptly."
Meanwhile, the nonprofit organization Hope Pebble actively supports vulnerable groups in Korea through various campaigns such as supporting elderly people living alone, aiding abused children, supporting malnourished children, and assisting youth preparing for independence. The organization operates transparently through voluntary donations from citizens, without being tied to any political or religious affiliations.
