On June 8, NewJeans’ agency ADOR announced that the group’s single ‘How Sweet’ had surpassed 1 million albums sold on Circle Chart’s May Album Chart. ‘How Sweet’ is an EP with the tracks ‘Bubble Gum’ and ‘How Sweet,’ and was released on May 24.
With this new milestone, all four of NewJeans’ albums released since debut have now surpassed one million copies sold. Their debut album 'New Jeans' and single 'OMG' both exceeded 1.5 million albums sold, while their EP 'Get Up' sold over 2 million copies.
'How Sweet' and 'Bubble Gum' continue to maintain their spots on music charts like Melon and Genie, over 2 weeks after the single album’s release.
Though there have recently been concerns about NewJeans’ album sales decreasing amidst the HYBE-ADOR conflict, the group’s sales numbers show that they are still one of the biggest powerhouses in the K-pop industry.
