One of the largest existing K-Pop groups with 13 members, Seventeen will be launching a new official unit soon, Jeonghan x Wonwoo.

Well, some might ask, out of all of the possible unit combinations in Seventeen, why Jeonghan and Wonwoo? 

But another question that math nerds might ask is, how many possible unit combinations are there with 13 members?

So fans have done the math, and it turns out, there are 8,177 possible unit combinations for a group with 13 members! 

So far, out of the 8,177 possible combinations, these are Seventeen's existing units: Seventeen's three official group units (Hip-Hop Team, Vocal Team, Performance Team), Seventeen BSS (Seungkwan, DK, Hoshi), Seventeen Hoshi x Woozi (a.k.a the "Bring It" unit), and Seventeen Bittersweet (Wonwoo x Mingyu). And of course soon, Jeonghan x Wonwoo will be joining the list!

Logistically, 8,177 possible combinations means that if Seventeen launched a different unit every single day, it would still take 22 years before all units were revealed. 

However, some fans also observed, 

"I don't know if there's much meaning in a unit with 12 people kekekeke."

"If the unit has 11~12 people, isn't that the same thing as one or two members just taking a break for a little while lol."

"If they ever decide to make a 12-member unit, they should be careful with 'bad relationship' rumors kekekeke."

"I don't know about going over 6~7 members in a unit haha."

"Out of over 8,000 possible combinations, Jeonghan and Wonwoo will debut! How lucky!"

"I want more Seventeen units."

"This is the advantage of a group with 13-members kekekeke."

Meanwhile, Jeonghan x Wonwoo's 1st single album 'This Man' will be out on June 17 at 6 PM KST!
