Fans are concerned over the wellbeing of NCT member Renjun after seeing his recent Bubble messages.
The NCT member, currently taking a break from activities to focus on the recovery of his health, said,
"Czennies, it's been a while~ I wanted to say something, and this was the only place I could come to say it, so I'm sorry to any new Czennies~~ TT. I'm just so frustrated, so please understand TT.
I was suffering so much from panic disorder and depression, but I didn't want to be an inconvenience to the other members so I endured and endured, but it got worse and worse until it took a toll on my body and I collapsed, and in the end, I made the difficult decision to halt promotions because I thought it was too much of a risk. I want to promote more than anyone, but because both my mind and body are taking a toll, I had no choice. I'm sorry. I should be stronger...
What I want to talk about today has nothing to do with Czennies whatsoever. But while I'm taking a break from activities, I've been trying out all kinds of things I didn't get to try, to get better as quickly as possible, like going to the amusement park and finding healing, and it has been helping, but then I saw some stuff online. (He's apparently sick but he can go have fun?) I couldn't believe what I was seeing... So are sick people supposed to be boarded up in a hospital, taking pills every day and suffering depression and crying every waking minute? My number one goal is to recover as soon as possible so I can continue promoting with Dream. That is why I am going out on walks and trying out new things, because that is how I can heal.
But even during those personal activities, those sasaengs? To me, they're just frightening stalkers. Those people follow me, they sit in the seat next to me on the airplane and take pictures of me while I'm sleeping, and it is such a burden on me. How in the world do they know my flight information and how do they get the seat right next to me and they even lie through their teeth (Sorry, but I'm not following you?), and to be honest it is really really really really really stressing me out. There are various ways to express your love and affection but why does it have to be the most extreme way possible? It doesn't, does it...
And today, they kept calling and calling, and if I answer the phone, thinking it's the delivery (Excuse me, are you my friend xxx?), but then their profile shows one of my members. Is it a coincidence? So from now on, whether you're young or old, if you encroach in my personal matters, I will not just sit and let you get away with it any longer. I will report you, I will sue you through the court, I will pursue you until this is over with so if you can wake up to your senses even now, and dedicate your time and effort to something else, please do. And listen to some Dream songs once in a while. And then we can have a healthy Dream-Czennie relationship?
If you cross the line into my personal life as Hwang Renjun, I will not stand for it. Even if it costs me, I will fight until you pay. The company is preparing to take action too, so let's just have a healthy relationship as Dream-Czennie, and just make good memories.
And I am not saying this to any real Czennies at all, this is just a warning to those people who are hurting our Dreamies illegally, so Czennies, know that I love you so much I could give you everything, and please be happy, okay?"
Renjun then proceeded to reveal information on what is suspected of being an illegal information seller, writing, "You sold my number illegally first, so I'll reveal your info too."
Finally, he said, "Any sasaeng fans who call me from now on, I will publicly reveal your number on here. You need to go through what I'm going through for yourself, that's the only way you can turn back to your right senses."
Alarmed by the NCT member's strong words, many netizens expressed sympathy, commenting,
"Based on what he said, it would be a miracle to stay sane and not develop panic disorder. Sasaengs? They're just stalkers and criminals."
"He really sounds unhinged. I hope he can rest and recover TT."
"If he's feeling so helpless that he's exposing them publicly like that, it must be a really dangerous situation. I feel so sorry for him."
"Why wouldn't idols get depression and panic disorder when those nasty sasaengs are doing such horrible things to them. I hope all sasaengs get criminal punishment for their actions."
"He's a foreign idol but he's speaking his mind so clearly. Please leave him alone. We're cheering for you, Renjun!"
"SM, all of your artists have a history of severe mental illnesses related to sasaeng terror, so why are you still not doing a single thing?!"
"I really feel for him. If it's that extreme, I could understand him developing just hatred for any fans in general, but he still separates the fans and the sasaengs clearly and makes sure to convey that his emotions are directed toward the criminals. He seems very considerate."
"How do celebrities deal with this kind of thing, seriously..."
👍👏👏 good renjun. it's a start. if all celebs do this, maybe the sasaeng culture can go down too because other fans will end up being a sasaeng to these sasaengs and for them to fully understand what they've done. it is a harassment no matter how you look at it.
renjun, stay strong and keep fighting!
