It's been reported that ATTRAKT has successfully obtained ownership of the group name FIFTY FIFTY in South Korea plus 30 other countries across the globe.
Previously, after the legal dispute between the former members of FIFTY FIFTY and ATTRAKT broke out in June of last year, both sides strongly claimed rights to the group's name and trademark. Now, it's been confirmed that the Korean Intellectual Property Office formally granted ownership of the group name and trademark to ATTRAKT on May 24. ATTRAKT has successfully been granted ownership of the group name FIFTY FIFTY in both Korean and English, as well as the ability to register the same trademark in other industries outside of music and entertainment.
ATTRAKT has also successfully obtained ownership of the trademark in China in January; in the United Kingdom in November, and in the European Union in February. Most recently, the trademark registration was completed in Taiwan.
The trademark registration is still pending in the United States, Japan, Thailand, Vietnam, and various other countries.
Meanwhile, the first court hearing in the legal dispute between ATTRAKT and the three former members of FIFTY FIFTY will take place soon in August. As for member Keena, she is preparing to resume promotions as a member of FIFTY FIFTY along with four new members.
