Zico has teamed up with members Yejun and Eunho of the virtual idol group PLAVE for the "SPOT!" challenge, astounding fans.
As many of you know, the 5-member virtual idol group PLAVE utilizes digital technology to produce the effects of 2-dimensional characters moving on a 3-dimensional plane. Real-life figures wear virtual image production suits and move about, allowing the camera to recreate their movements with various effects. This means that real-life figures are behind each and every single one of the PLAVE members' movements.
Watching Zico's latest "SPOT!" challenge with PLAVE members Yejun and Eunho, many netizens were curious to know more about how the technology functions, and what steps are involved in the making process.
Some commented,
"Did Zico dance with the actual people wearing the suits??"
"How did they hold hands???"
"I'm confused. Is it CG effects, or real people?"
"Can someone please explain this to me..."
"Did Zico have to act like there was someone there? I really don't get what's going on."
"It looks more natural than when they did the challenge with BOYNEXTDOOR a few days ago."
"I'm so jealous of Zico... he's the first human to hold hands with Eunho..."
"I'm shocked by how natural this looks."
"The dance movements look really natural and the clothes look like they have texture."
