The historical fiction film 'The Land of Happiness', the posthumous work of actor Lee Sun Gyun, will premiere in theaters across South Korea in August.
Directed by Choo Chang Min of 'Masquerade' (2012), 'The Land of Happiness' tells the story of a court case which took place directly after the assassination of South Korea's authoritarian president in 1979.
Lee Sun Gyun plays the role of Park Tae Joo, a military soldier who becomes wrapped up in one of the most shocking assassinations in South Korean history. Jo Jung Suk plays the role of Jung In Hoo, a lawyer defending Park Tae Joo in court.
The film also stars Yoo Jae Myung, Jin Ki Joo, and more.

So pleased the late, great Lee Sun Gyuns work is being released. I'm sure it will be a representation of his superb acting and a reminder of what a great loss it is that he is no longer with us.
