Seventeen's DK shared an unsettling incident he encountered during a livestream.
On an online forum, netizens engaged in a discussion sparked by an X post featuring a brief clip of DK from a livestream session with fans. In the clip, DK shared an unexpected turn of events.
"I picked up a call thinking it was Seungkwan, but they [sasaeng] were just calling using Seungkwan's name (Caller ID)," DK explained.
The netizen who posted the clip further explained that this tactic of using another person's caller ID has become a prevalent voice phishing technique exploited by sasaengs in recent days to contact idols.
The fan elaborated, "There have been frequent disruptions these days during live broadcasts due to relentless calls from sasaengs. That's why it's crucial for the members to activate Do-Not-Disturb mode on their phones. Jeonghan even resorted to using an iPad for broadcasting."
In addition, the fan shared another video from November of last year, showing Mingyu and Jeonghan expressing their frustration upon receiving calls from sasaengs during a livestream.
The fan added, "Instead of witnessing improvement, the sasaengs' tactics have only grown more malicious."
