The girl group NewJeans continues to soar in popularity despite the recent controversies involving their agency, ADOR, and CEO Min Hee Jin. Their latest music video is on the brink of surpassing 20 million views.
According to ADOR, as of 10 AM today, the music video for their newest song "Bubble Gum," released on April 27, has already racked up over 19.44 million views.
"Bubble Gum" has captured the hearts of music fans with its infectious melody and nostalgic visuals. This track is part of their upcoming single 'How Sweet,' scheduled for release on May 24.
In addition to this, NewJeans has collaborated with renowned Japanese graphic designer Murakami Takashi for the music video of 'Right Now,' a track included in their Japanese debut single 'Supernatural,' set to be released on the 21st of next month.
On the same day, they unveiled a teaser for the "Right Now" music video on their YouTube channel. The teaser introduces a fresh collaboration between 'NewJeans x Murakami.'
ADOR introduced the concept, explaining that "The five members embark on a quest to find the elixir of love and stumble upon the 'Rainbow Flower.' While showcasing their superpowers, an unknown glitch causes two worlds to collide, giving rise to the 'NewJeans x Murakami' characters." They described these characters as a fusion of NewJeans' captivating charm and Murakami Takashi's iconic Rainbow Flower.
Ahead of their official debut in Japan next month, NewJeans is actively promoting themselves by displaying large-scale photos in Shibuya 109, a major shopping mall in Tokyo. They are also set to host a large-scale fan meeting at the Tokyo Dome on the 26th and 27th of next month.
