Lee Mal Nyeon aka “Chim Chak Man” confirms his petition in favor of Min Hee Jin and NewJeans

AKP STAFF

On his personal livestream on May 26, webtoon artist and Youtuber Lee Byung Geon confirms that he has filed a petition in favor of ADOR’s CEO Min Hee Jin. He is more popularly known by his webtoon artist alias “Lee Mal Nyeon” and his Youtuber alias “Chim Chak Man (literally translates to “Calm Man”).”

The name on the petition was incorrectly spelled as “Lee Byeong Gyeon,” leading some to question if it were really him. He clarifies that a photocopy of your identity card has to be submitted along with the petition, so it could not be a case of identity misappropriation. He has no idea why his name was misspelled but confirms that it is indeed him.

Next, he responds to why he filed the petition. He found out about the trial and what the petition was for from an acquaintance. He does not know much about the HYBE vs. ADOR situation, but as he does not wish for CEO Min to be dismissed, he signed it, citing one reason for why he felt so: “I’ve run into them a few times and thought the synergy between NewJeans and Min Hee Jin was admirable.”

In his petition, he had written down his feelings and reasons for opposing the dismissal of CEO Min, stating that watching from the side, he senses the passion and how much Min takes pride in her work, and the camaraderie she shares with the members and parents reflect that the members are well taken care of.

In response to malicious speculations of him signing the petition to curry favor with CEO Min, he states that he does not like to be embroiled in situations where there is a big fuss, and he did not think it was necessary to account for something like a petition. He was perplexed as to why the public was making such a big deal out of this, but also acknowledges that a public figure has a certain responsibility to account themselves to the public.

He also asks for fans who are disappointed in him for the petition to stop being his fan, explaining that if you are someone who is disappointed over something like this, it means you are just not a good fit with him. He emphasizes again to ask for fans to not bombard him nonstop with demands to explain himself over something that is not of grave concern.

Meanwhile, ADOR’s board of directors will hold a general shareholders' meeting on May 31 to come to a conclusion about dismissing CEO Min. HYBE is looking to replace three current ADOR board members with newly appointed members.

Ignorance is indeed bliss. Imagine giving up your ID and signing on something willy-nilly.

I don’t think we need to elaborate on buffoonery.
