ADOR, the agency representing NewJeans, recently announced that Hyein will not be partaking in the official promotions for their upcoming double single, 'How Sweet'. The decision comes as Hyein focuses on prioritizing her health and recuperation.
In April, Hyein sustained a microfracture on the top of her foot during practice, prompting her to undergo treatment and recovery efforts. Despite her dedication to rehabilitation, upon the advice of medical professionals to minimize movement, Hyein opted out of participating in the group's new song promotions.
NewJeans clarified that depending on Hyein's recovery progress and medical recommendations, she may selectively engage in activities beyond music broadcasts and performances. The agency assured fans of their commitment to supporting Hyein's journey back to full health and expressed hope for her swift return to their side.
Below is ADOR’s full statement:
"hello.
This is ADOR.
We would like to thank the fans who always show support and love to NewJeans.
We would like to inform you of member Hyein's health status and future schedule.
Last April, Hyein developed pain in the top of her foot during practice, so she visited the hospital for a detailed examination.
Microfractures were found.
Since then, she has been concentrating on treatment and recovery, but received advice from the medical staff to minimize any movements that may put a strain on her feet.
Accordingly, Hyein decided not to participate in the official promotions for the double single 'How Sweet', including music broadcasts/performances, and to focus on stability and rest.
Depending on Hyein's condition and medical advice, she will flexibly participate in schedules other than music broadcasts/performances.
We ask for the fans' generous understanding, and we will do our best to ensure that Hyein can be with her fans again in good health.
thank you."
