ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin is facing more plagiarism allegations.
Min Hee Jin recently faced allegations she copied the concept and styling for NewJeans from Mexican girl group Jeans as well as Japanese group SPEED, but she's now facing new accusations that she copied a concept for f(x). On May 25, the allegations began trending on online community sites, and netizens discussed how f(x)'s 'Pink Tape' album cover and design allegedly looks very similar to artist Pink Tape's 'Anomaly' album, which was released a year earlier.
During the time f(x)'s 'Pink Tape' album was released, Min Hee Jin was a creative director at the girl group's label SM Entertainment. Netizens are stating there are similarities, but the idea of a pink cassette tape is not very unique.
Netizens commented, "Ms. Min always works by referencing things. She digs around, finds something useful and not well known to the public, changes it around, and uses it. That's always been her way," "I can't defend her anymore. 'Pink Tape' is Min Hee Jin's definitive work," "Using pink cassette tapes and videotapes is a common idea. However, those materials as an album cover and as the title to the extend they're the overall concept of the album is a different story," and more.
