2024 Global Hallyu Survey by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism reveal the most popular K-Pop artists globally

Recently, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of South Korea conducted a survey titled the 2024 Global Hallyu Survey to get an insight into the widespread influence of K-culture content across the globe.

The survey targeted residents in 26 countries from ages 15 to 59 who have experienced Korean culture content. The survey focused on individuals from different regions, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of Hallyu, or the Korean Wave, and its impact.

The regions and countries included in the survey are:

  • Asia-Pacific (10 countries): China, Japan, Taiwan, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, India, Vietnam, Kazakhstan, and Australia.
  • Americas (5 countries): United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, and Argentina.
  • Europe (7 countries): United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Russia, and Türkiye.
  • Middle East (2 countries): UAE and Saudi Arabia.
  • Africa (2 countries): South Africa and Egypt
