S.E.S alum Bada has publicly shown support for the younger group NewJeans, who are facing difficult times.
On April 30th, Bada posted a photo related to NewJeans' upcoming single, expressing concern for the young idols caught in adult complexities. “Imagine how hard it must have been for these young ones, preparing an album is tough enough,” she wrote.
She continued, “All idol juniors must be facing their own challenges, but I pray that you withstand this beautiful but fleeting time gracefully, grow wonderfully, and find happiness in being true to yourselves. You are all amazing, all Korean idol juniors have my support.”
The recent controversy revolves around the dispute between Adore's Min Heejin and its parent company HYBE. HYBE has accused Min of attempting a takeover, initiating an audit of Adore on April 22nd, and subsequently filing charges against her for breach of trust on April 25th. Min Heejin, on the other hand, has denied any intentions or actions towards seizing control.
In the midst of this turmoil, NewJeans released the music video for their new song 'Bubble Gum' on April 27th. The track is part of their upcoming double single 'How Sweet', set to officially release on May 24th.
Bada being the leader of 1st gen gg S.E.S. has seen it all. She knows what the girls must be going through right now. I just hope that NewJeans continues to shine with their real color and that no other artist experience this.
