The anticipated pairing of Ryu Joon Yeol and Han So Hee in the upcoming drama 'Deception' has been called off. Showbox, the production company behind the project, revealed on April 2 KST, that while discussions about casting Ryu Joon Yeol and Han So Hee did occur, the decision was made to halt further discussions as their participation was not confirmed.
'Deception' follows the story of a painter commissioned to portray a captivating woman, set in 1935 Gyeongseong and 1800s Shanghai. Based on a webtoon of the same name, the series unravels the mystery surrounding the woman's identity and the eerie events that unfold over time.
The potential casting of Ryu Joon Yeol and Han So Hee had garnered significant attention. However, with recent reports of their tumultuous relationship and subsequent breakup, the production team deemed it impractical to pursue their casting for 'Deception' at this time.
Ryu Joon Yeol and Han So Hee were embroiled in dating rumors stemming from an eyewitness report of their trip to Hawaii. Further fuel was added to the speculation by Ryu Joon Yeol's ex-girlfriend Hyeri's cryptic comment on social media. Han So See's denial of transit romance rumors and subsequent remarks aimed at Hyeri on her own social media accounts only added to the controversy.
While Hyeri issued an apology, Ryu Joon Yeol remained silent. Han So Hee, on the other hand, posted a lengthy statement on March 29 KST. The following day, both Ryu Joon Yeol and Han So Hee's agencies confirmed their breakup.
So it's the production who removed both actors but RJY and HSH were ok to work together? After all this drama!??
