According to media outlet reports on April 25, project girl group Kep1er will conclude its activities in July.
The 9-member girl group, formed from the Mnet survival program 'Girls Planet 999', debuted with the release of their 1st mini album, 'First Impact', in January of 2022. The group's contract was originally signed for a period of 2 years and 6 months, and come July, the contract's expiration period will be upheld.
Kep1er intend on bidding their fans goodbye with a Korean album release and a solo concert soon.
Meanwhile, it was previously reported that the representatives of the members' agencies met up to discuss the issue of Kep1er's contract extension. However, it seems that no agreement was reached, and as with past Mnet project groups, the members will return to their respective labels after July.
[UPDATE] Wake One Entertainment has since responded to the above reports with, "Discussions over the extension of Kep1er's promotions is still ongoing. Kep1er is currently preparing to release a new album."
