From JYP Entertainment's lead producer and singer J.Y. Park to its affiliated artists, there has been a heartwarming wave of substantial donations. They are committed to continuous giving, not just one-off or for show, but to truly promote the value of sharing.
Recently, J.Y. Park himself donated a total of 20 billion KRW from his personal funds over two years, from 2022 to 2023, giving 10 billion KRW each year. In 2022, he donated 5 billion KRW to World Vision for medical aid for vulnerable populations abroad and was appointed to the 'Bob Pierce Honor Club.'
Additionally, in 2022, he donated 5 billion KRW to both World Vision and Samsung Seoul Hospital, and last year he contributed 2 billion KRW each to five key regional hospitals in Korea.
The group Stray Kids is known as 'donation idols.' Member Felix donated 50 million KRW to World Vision during the February earthquake in Syria and Turkey last year and became a member of the 'Vision Society,' which is for donors who contribute over 10 million KRW.
He is also a member of Save the Children's 'Honors Club' for those who have donated over 30 million KRW and the youngest and first member this year of UNICEF's 'Honors Club' for those who have donated over 100 million KRW. Members Lee Know, Changbin, and Hyunjin have also participated in high-amount donations.
TWICE's Nayeon recently donated 30 million KRW for patients in regions with poorer medical environments compared to the capital area, becoming the first 'Honors Society' member of the year for the Love's Fruit organization.
ITZY's Ryujin became the first member of the 'Promise Honors Club' after donating 50 million KRW each for emergency relief funds for the 2022 East Coast wildfire victims in Korea and last year's earthquake victims in Turkey and Syria.
