On April 9, Xports News exclusively reported that Nayeon is set to make her solo comeback in June. The media outlet reported that Nayeon would be making a solo comeback for the first time in two years.

However, JYP Entertainment told EDaily, "It's true that Nayeon is preparing for a solo album, but the release date is still undecided. We will announce it once it's confirmed." 

Meanwhile, Nayeon was the first TWICE member to make her solo debut and gained significant popularity with her debut album, 'IM NAYEON,' which stands for her real name, Im Nayeon. The title track, "POP!" filled with Nayeon's unique, vibrant energy, was well-received by people of all ages, solidifying her position as a solo artist.

Nayeon debuted in 2015 with TWICE and rose to stardom with hit songs including "Like OOH-AHH", "CHEER UP", "TT", "SIGNAL", "LIKEY", "FANCY", "Feel Special", and "ONE SPARK."
