BTS member j-Hope has set a new record on the U.S. Billboard charts.
According to a chart preview article posted on Billboard's official website on the 8th (KST), J-Hope's special album
'Hope On The Street Vol.1', released on March 29th, entered the main album chart 'Billboard 200' (dated April 13th) at 5th place.
This is the highest 'Billboard 200' ranking for a solo album released by J-Hope. The album recorded 44,000 in album sales, 4,000 in SEA units (equivalent album sales from streaming numbers), and 2,000 in TEA units (equivalent album sales from digital track downloads).
J-Hope also became the only K-pop solo artist to enter the top 10 of the 'Billboard 200' with two consecutive works (albums). His previous album 'Jack In The Box' released as a Weverse album in 2022, reached 17th on this chart, and the following year, it was re-released as a physical album and ranked 6th on the 'Billboard 200'.
Now, 'Hope On The Street Vol.1' has entered at 5th place. 'Hope On The Street Vol.1' is an album that encapsulates J-Hope's artistic roots in 'street dance', reflecting his identity and original aspirations. With this new release, J-Hope is also achieving a 'career high', including reaching 38th place on the UK's Official Album Chart.
