In a recent interaction with fans, TripleS's Xinyu dropped an interesting tidbit about how the group's members are arranged in group photos.
According to Xinyu, the rookie girl group of 24 members is arranged in their group photos according to the sales of each member's photo cards as a metric to determine the arrangement.
She expressed her concerns in a fan communication app and shared, "The 24 members are according to the photo card sales?? So, I think it's good if it becomes random later. It's a bit cruel. It reminds me of survival (programs)."
She continued to express her concerns and worries but also apologized to fans for making them worry. She then deleted the messages, saying, "Sorry I won't talk about this :("
This latest revelation sparked various online community users to express their thoughts on this matter. Many Korean netizens criticized the system and agreed that it is too cruel for the members to be lined up according to their photocard sales.
They commented, "This is such a strange system," "I feel so bad for the members," "I'm imagining I'm the member who sold the least photocards and having to stand in the back. That's so hard," "If they're going to do that why won't they just do open ranking then?" "The members are so nice it seems," "Why are they doing that? that's so mean," "I'm glad she's one of the popular members who said this," "I think this system would be more stressful to the popular members," "This is like the Japanese akb idol system," "Why are they adapting such a strange system?" and "This is so cruel, this is just like an idol survival show. It's going to be so stressful on the members."
