After facing criticism about their live singing skills, ILLIT seemed to have put in considerable effort to improve. The initial criticism had put ILLIT under the spotlight, with many questioning their vocal capabilities.
Following severe criticism for lacking in singing abilities and receiving harsh backlash after their first music program encore performance, the group has shown notable improvement in their recent appearance on Mnet's 'M Countdown.'
Korean netizens commented, "They practiced, they're cute," "I think they did make an improvement but still disappointing," "I'm glad they are making improvements," "I think it's funny how they just sing one or two lines and then stop," "I think all the members are okay except Moka," "How did Moka debut?" "I think they're okay," "They sound like ordinary people," "They did improve but they're still not that good," "You barely hear them sing the chorus," "It's an improvement but not that much," and "The standard for K-pop is becoming so low."

I watched the encore, and if this is supposed to be "praiseworthy" then the standard has become really low for newer gen idols. As someone who has done karaoke many times, I've met many regular people who can sing better than them. Also, the majority of people aren't even praising them.
