The agency of the late singer Park Bo Ram is taking a firm stance against malicious comments and fake news.

On April 14 KST, Xanadu Entertainment stated, "Currently, malicious posts and baseless rumors about the late Park Bo Ram are being indiscriminately spread through online communities, YouTube, social media, etc."

They continued, "Since her debut, Park Bo Ram has been troubled by malicious comments due to unconfirmed facts, and even now, these fake news items targeting her are nothing less than clear acts of defamation, akin to killing the deceased twice. Our company, relatives, and acquaintances are all suffering great mental shock and pain due to this."

They appealed, "We request that all false and speculative videos and posts be immediately taken down," and emphasized, "If such behavior continues, our company will take strong civil and criminal measures, and after the funeral proceedings, we will continue to pursue legal action rigorously. There will be no leniency or agreement in this process."

Park Bo Ram was found collapsed in a restroom during a gathering with acquaintances on April 11 and was transferred to a hospital but ultimately passed away. She was 30 years old.

Park Bo Ram had drinks with two acquaintances on the day of her death, and it was determined that the three consumed about one bottle of soju. The police have requested an autopsy to ascertain the exact cause of death and are investigating the circumstances with acquaintances.

In relation to this, some malicious YouTubers created fake news to harass the deceased. Singer Kim Greem, known as a close friend of the deceased, expressed anger, saying, "How can't there be any measures against YouTubers who create fake news with AI voices, sensational titles, and thumbnails to make money using a deceased person? These are truly despicable individuals exploiting the departed to earn money. It's infuriating. They will receive divine punishment."

Park Bo Ram gained recognition by appearing on the Mnet audition program 'Superstar K2' in 2010. She officially debuted in 2014 with "Beautiful (feat. Zico)," gaining significant popularity. In addition, she continued her activities with songs like "Celepretty," "Pretty Bae (with Lee Hyun)," "Why, You?," and "Will Be Fine".

Furthermore, Park Bo Ram marked her 10th debut anniversary by releasing a duet song "Wish" with Huh Gak, the winner of 'Superstar K2,' in February last year. Earlier this month, she released a new song titled "I Miss You Already."

At that time, her agency stated, "Park Bo Ram, who celebrated her 10th debut anniversary this year, is preparing a full-length album starting with the release of this new song. We ask for your continued expectations and interest in Park Bo Ram's return with good music," which made her untimely passing even more tragic.

The people who partake in such sick practices are inhuman and truly deranged, they will do anything for a quick buck, without a care about who they are hurting. I hope all of them are caught and damn well punished.
