Singer Kim Chung Hoon, known as the father of actor Kim Soo Hyun, got married this weekend.
According to the singer's agency, Kim Chung Hoon held a wedding ceremony on April 13 at his home in Gangnam, Seoul. To avoid burdening the couple, who had wanted a quiet ceremony, Kim Soo Hyun reportedly sought understanding from his father and did not attend the wedding.
The wedding was attended by Kim Chung Hoon's close singer friends, with veteran trot singer Kim Bum Ryong singing the congratulatory song and broadcaster Jo Young Gu hosting the event.
Meanwhile, Kim Chung Hoon was the lead vocalist of the rock band Seven Dolphins, then made his trot solo debut in 2009. He is well known to be the father of both Kim Soo Hyun and singer Kim Ju Na, who is Kim Soo Hyun's half-sister.
