On March 27 KST, it was reported that Ahreum, a former member of the girl group T-ara, had been hospitalized following a purported suicide attempt in the early hours of the morning.

Ahreum, who had been part of T-ara from July 2012 to 2013, has since ventured onto a different path. In 2019, she married an older businessman and became a mother to two sons. However, her recent appearance on 'Between Marriage and Divorce' unveiled the strains within her marital relationship.

In December of last year, Ahreum publicly announced her decision to divorce her husband, expressing intentions to remarry her current boyfriend, a known film writer, once the divorce proceedings concluded. The situation escalated when Ahreum made allegations of abuse by her ex-husband, revealing distressing images of bruises on her children's bodies as evidence. 

On March 25 KST, Areum further disclosed instances of domestic violence, sharing a photo of her face bearing scars while wearing a torn dress. 

The reported suicide attempt adds a further layer of concern to Ahreum's ongoing struggles, prompting an outpouring of support and calls for greater attention to mental health issues within the entertainment industry.
