Girl group tripleS's management label Modhaus has issued an update to ensure fans that malicious commenters targeting the members of tripleS with attacks and insults will be dealt with accordingly.
The agency said on March 7 KST,
"Hello, this is Modhaus.
Recently, Modhaus has filed lawsuits against netizens who habitually posted sexually insulting and harassing comments about artists belonging to our agency on a certain online community. These individuals have been charged with violating laws such as the Special Act on Sexual Violence Crimes, the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, and defamation.
These individuals posted sexually insulting and harassing comments about our agency's artists on popular online communities where an unspecified number of people view these posts. As a result, not only the artists themselves but also their families are suffering from mental damages.
Modhaus strongly condemns such criminal acts and pledges to actively respond to defamation, insults, sexual harassment, dissemination of false information, and malicious slander, to ensure that our agency's artists and any future victims are not harmed.
Furthermore, Modhaus operates a constant monitoring system to protect the rights of our agency artists. We also plan to take all possible legal measures against any additional cases of harm.
We thank the fans who show interest, love, and support toward our agency's artists, and promise to continue to protect the rights of our artists unchangingly.
Thank you."
Meanwhile, tripleS will be releasing their first 24-member album some time in May.
It was a matter of time. Good 👍
