Lee Hyori teared up as she stepped down from the stage of her talk show 'The Seasons - Lee Hyori's Red Carpet.'
On March 26, the final recording of KBS 2TV's 'The Seasons - Lee Hyori's Red Carpet' occurred at the KBS studio in Yeouido, Seoul. As the final guests, singer Jeong Mi Jo, and the former MCs of 'The Seasons' - Jay Park, Choi Jung Hoon from Jannabi, and AKMU's Chanhyuk and Suhyun - adorned the stage.
As much as this was Lee Hyori's final recording, many fans visited the studio and dressed in uniform red outfits.
During the filming, Lee Hyori explained, "Today is the last day of 'Red Carpet.' I remember starting the first recording on a day when it was snowing heavily, and I didn't realize time would pass so quickly."
She continued to share her thoughts on the final recording and said, "It's always like this. The things that seem long always come to an end so fast. I thought there would be more time left as I felt I just got used to it and thought 'I can do a bit better now.' It was the same for 'Red Carpet.' I feel like now I can hear the stories of the guests better and can properly enjoy the songs, but the time to say goodbye has come." She concluded, "If there is a start, there is an end. If there is always an end to a start."
Lee Hyori also shared, "I did feel overwhelmed since I had to travel from Jeju Island back and forth. I wanted to do collaborations so I feel more disappointed. I came to know about music that I didn't before, and I felt the desire to be more active in music again. It has been a while since I felt that singers are very awesome."
Lastly, she shared, "In life, there are things that you feel you would have another opportunity for but it turned out to be the last. So, I've reached an age where I value and cherish everything because I know that moment won't come back once it passes. Also, there is no guarantee that I'll have an opportunity to be an MC and meet with artists like this again, so this was a very precious stage. I'm so grateful for everything embracing me with love until the end despite my shortcomings."
The final episode is scheduled to air on March 29.
