The 30th Screen Actors Guild Awards (SAG) commemorated the late Lee Sun Gyun.
During the 30th Screen Actors Guild Awards held on February 24th (local time) in Los Angeles (LA), USA, a moment was taken to mourn actors who passed away last year. The video retrospective of the actors' works included Lee Sun Gyun, who starred in the movie 'Parasite'.
Naomi Watts said on the day, "Last year, we lost many extraordinary actors. The absence of those who touched the world with their talent is deeply felt."
The Screen Actors Guild Awards, hosted by the Screen Actors Guild, is a ceremony where actors active in film and TV within the United States award each other. It is considered a precursor to the Academy Awards, alongside the Golden Globes and BAFTA.
Lee Sun Gyun had previously won the Ensemble Award at the awards ceremony in 2020 with his 'Parasite' co-stars. At that time, he enjoyed the joy of winning the award on stage with Song Kang-ho, Choi Woo-shik, Park So-dam, and Lee Jung-eun.
Meanwhile, the late Lee Sun Gyun was found dead in his vehicle on December 23 last year, after being booked in October for multiple allegations of marijuana use and undergoing police investigation.
Weird to edit a message that was honoring many people, and instead make it just about one.
