BLACKPINK's Lisa has become the next member of her group to take a bold step forward after Jennie and Jisoo to establish her own agency.
On February 8, Lisa revealed her agency, LLOUD, with the excerpt: "At LLOUD, our passion as an artist management company is to create experiences that transcend genres and connect generations. Our core lies in relentless innovation and a commitment to authenticity. We're not just pushing boundaries; we're redefining them, crafting chart-topping and genre-defying music."
Korean netizens gathered in an online community to share their thoughts on this announcement and commented, "Wow, but if they earned that much from BLACKPINK, they're probably setting up their own individual companies, right? Each of them has such distinct personalities, so it's really impressive how they've all risen individually," "The CEO vibe in the photo is no joke... Such swagger," "I'm glad Lisa established her own agency," "I think it's going to be hard to find a group that has all the members become as successful as BLACKPINK," "Wow," "So Rose is the only member who didn't establish her agency?" "We just need an update on Rose now," "I think Lisa is someone who would do well anywhere," "Lisa looked really happy on Instagram," "The scale for Lisa is already different," and "Congrats!"
People seem to confuse a management company and a record label. They're two different things. LLOUD exists to manage Lisa's career. That's not the same thing as it being a full blown record label.
Look at someone like Jackson Wang for an example. His albums are released in partnership with actual record labels which help produce the videos and do promo, as well as printing and distribution of the physical albums. My guess is Lisa will do the same.
