On February 6 KST, it was officially announced that Choi Ji Woo has parted ways with YG Entertainment and has signed an exclusive contract with Studio Santa Claus Entertainment.

Choi Ji Woo originally joined YG Entertainment in February 2014 and later renewed her contract in February 2016, expressing her desire to continue the fruitful collaboration. She had emphasized the importance of maintaining long-lasting relationships in the entertainment industry. She said, "Once a relationship is formed, it tends to last a long time. The stylist I have been working with has been by my side for 20 years, and my manager for over 10 years. After joining YG, I heard a lot of people around me say that we get along well. We will continue to work with each other in the future. I want to continue working together so that I can better fit my image."

Having dedicated a total of 10 years of hard work and loyalty to YG Entertainment until February this year, Choi Ji Woo is embarking on a fresh journey with Studio Santa Claus Entertainment following an amicable departure from YG Entertainment.

Studio Santa Claus, established in 2005, is a comprehensive entertainment company known for producing films, dramas, and OSTs alongside managing various actor talents. 

Choi Ji Woo, who married a non-celebrity partner nine years her junior in 2018 and welcomed their daughter in 2020, made her return to the screen last November with 'New Normal', marking her comeback to the industry after a hiatus of about seven years since the film 'Like For Likes'.
