On January 17, Starship Entertainment announced that IVE's Jang Won Young had won a civil lawsuit filed against the notorious former YouTuber Sojang, who spread false and malicious information about the idol.

Further details about the case emerged on January 18, revealing that Sojang allegedly hired individuals to post malicious comments about Jang Won Young.

Over the past few years, Sojang has uploaded videos that spread false rumors and malicious information about various K-pop idols. Sojang focused on targeting Jang Won Young in particular.

On January 18, JTBC's 'Crime Chief' revealed information showing that Sojang allegedly hired part-time workers to write malicious comments on YouTube videos.

According to 'Crime Chief,' Sojang uploaded a job position for part-timers to leave detailed malicious comments criticizing Jang Won Young, such as her facial expressions on YouTube videos. The job listing claimed Sojang would pay individuals 50 KRW (0.04 USD) per short comment and 100 KRW (0.08 USD) for every long comment.

Korean netizens were baffled by Sojang going so far as even to hire individuals to leave malicious comments on her videos. They commented, "Sojang you are the worst," "Wow, Sojang never fails to shock us," "I'm glad Starship won the case," "Why did she do such a thing against such a young girl... Jang Won Young was so young when Sojang started making malicious videos about her," "She is ridiculous," "I thought she hired all those malicious commenters," "I still don't understand why Sojang was doing this," and "Wow, just wow."

Meanwhile, Starship Entertainment disclosed that, since November 2022, they have actively pursued legal action against Park on both civil and criminal fronts, even extending their efforts internationally. Park, who operated the problematic channel persistently harassing their artists, is currently facing a criminal complaint that has transitioned from the police to the prosecutor's office, pending a comprehensive legal evaluation.

In the civil lawsuit filed by Starship Entertainment, the other party has not responded, and Wonyoung's case, in particular, was ruled in favor of her with a judgment stating it was based on false allegations.

Wonyoung did nothing to deserve that. Nothing. Sojang is absolutely disgusting.
