On January 27, solo artist Sunmi graced the stage in Manila, Philippines as the headliner of Samsung's 'Galaxy AI Festival' held in BGC.
At the launch of the new Galaxy S24 Ultra, Samsung Phillippines invited international act Sunmi and local artists like crwn, Jess Conelly, and Lola Amour to perform their fan-favorite songs and hits. They also introduced the model's new features, which include 'Circle to Search,' 'Live Translate,' 'Note Assist,' and 'Transcript Assist,' among others.
"I'm so excited to be part of the launch. I'm really happy right now," Sunmi expressed when first appeared on the stage to talk about the new Galaxy model. "Since I like to capture moments, I'm really impressed with how photos taken at night turn out so clear and vivid with 'nightography,'" the artist on her favorite feature of the Galaxy S24.
Sunmi also mentioned that one of the features that is useful for her, particularly as an artist when it comes to taking notes on song lyrics, is 'Note Assist.' This feature can produce summaries, organize notes using pre-made formats, and produce covers that provide a quick glimpse of the whole notes. "I take notes whenever the inspiration comes out. I also put things on notes such as schedules or meetings," she said.
After a short while, Sunmi finally took the stage to perform her hits live, including her newest single "Stranger," "24 Hours," "Siren," and "Pporappippam." The crowd, who had been waiting for her for years, cheered as she closed the set with her 2017 smash song "Gashina."
While I hate seeing idols have to spew obvious memorized marketing slogans I get she really has to make bank while she can. Her agency really has done her badly just like Chungha, both at the peak a few years ago now relegated to the sidelines. For Sunmi:
- No physical album for years.
- A launch of NFTs in her name.
