On January 3 KST, Green Umbrella, a child welfare agency, revealed that the popular singer Kim Chung Ha has donated 50 million won to assist low-income patients in covering their medical expenses. Chung Ha, a member of Green Umbrella's major donor group, the Green Noble Club, has been consistently contributing to children's causes, beginning with her support for the medical treatment of ill children in 2019.

The recent donation will be channeled through Green Umbrella to cover surgical and rehabilitation expenses for children from financially disadvantaged families facing the burden of high medical costs. This will include surgeries such as facial correction for congenital cleft lip and palate and bone lengthening procedures for knee cancer patients.

Chung Ha expressed her hopes for this donation, stating, "I wish this contribution can offer some relief to the patients and their families, who are enduring both physical and emotional strain due to recurring treatments." She added, "My deepest desire is for these children to swiftly regain their health, both physically and mentally, and grow up strong."
