JTBC's upcoming drama 'Doctor Slump,' set to premiere on January 27 KST, showcases Park Shin Hye as Nam Ha Neul, a dedicated anesthesiologist who reevaluates her life, and Park Hyungsik as Yeo Jeong Woo, a brilliant doctor who falls into a slump. Directed by Oh Hyeon Jeong and written by Baek Sun Woo, this romantic comedy depicts the convergence of two lives during challenging times.
The recently unveiled poster further heightens the excitement for the series. In the images, Park Shin Hye and Park Hyungsik sit side by side, enjoying ice cream, perfectly capturing the nostalgic and heartwarming atmosphere between the two. As the two actors return to the romantic comedy genre, fans are eager to witness them bring relatable characters to life.
Park Shin Hye emphasized 'emotional changes' in her approach to the character, aiming to portray Nam Ha Neul's healing journey as she faces the challenges of a life once solely focused on the future. Park Shin Hye shared, "I had the opportunity to consult with a psychiatrist about my acting, and they advised me that experiencing depression doesn't mean one is helpless throughout the day." She elaborated, "They explained that one temporarily loses the ability to cope with certain difficulties when facing them, and I kept that perspective in mind while acting. I aimed to depict the process of how Ha Neul, who felt helpless and anxious, finds healing with the support of her family and Jung Woo."
'Doctor Slump' premieres on January 27 at 10:30 PM, promising an engaging blend of romance and comedy.
