HODU&U Entertainment has officially announced its intent to pursue legal action against the circulation of rumors and false information related to their late actor.
In a statement released on January 3 KST, the agency stated, "We have recently become aware of the spreading of rumors and misinformation concerning our actors," and went on to say, "We have initiated the process of collecting relevant data while concurrently taking legal action."
The agency expressed its deep regret over the malicious and indiscriminate reporting surrounding the late Lee Sun Gyun by certain media outlets over the past three months. They had initially hoped for a fair police investigation to unveil the truth but have since lost faith in the process. "We are now committed to directly correcting the facts one by one," they added.
Furthermore, the agency revealed, "On January 2, we filed a complaint against a reporter who disseminated false information as if it were factual on the night of December 27 last year." They also demanded that the reporter issue a sincere apology and actively participate in the ensuing legal proceedings.
HODU&U Entertainment emphasized, "We are currently requesting the correction and removal of all online articles and those with unclear sources or those reported without proper fact-checking. We urge for swift actions to be taken."
The late Lee Sun Gyun was discovered dead in a car near a park in Jongno-gu, Seoul on December 27 KST. He had been investigated by the police on suspicion of drug use but denied the allegations, claiming that he had taken the drugs, believing them to be sleeping pills, as they were provided to him by an entertainment industry acquaintance known as 'A'.
they could’ve done this while he was alive.
