On January 26, Source Music unveiled a dramatic teaser film for LE SSERAFIM's 3rd mini album, 'EASY'.
In the trailer, the members of LE SSERAFIM appear dressed in their signature "LE SSERAFIM" brand fashion items including crop tops, shorts, and underwear.
In particular, many netizens noticed that members Huh Yunjin and Kim Chaewon seemed to be dressed in "only their underwear" with "loosely draped winter jackets on top".
While anticipation continues to rise for the girl group's comeback, their provocative fashion has sparked a hot debate among netizens.
Some commented,
"Why do they think it's okay for women to walk around the streets in nothing but their underwear?"
"Apparently it's 'fashion'... I don't really get it."
"If a man were wearing that? Would you let that pass as 'fashion'?"
"What I don't get is how walking around like that and littering in the streets is 'freedom'..."
"Are they trying to look like 'Burberry Men'...?" ('Burberry Men = Perverts who go around flashing people.)
"It's a 'Burberry Girl' lol. Call the police lol."
"A lot of young girls are going to start thinking that's what they should look like and that's how they should dress, which is a problem."
"I just don't get why women always have to show skin to look 'cool' or 'confident' when the same is frowned upon for men."
"Okay let's see what happens if a male idol wore nothing but briefs and a poofy jacket for his next comeback."
While others argued,
"What's wrong with those outfits? They're just like swim suits."
"It's for a dramatized trailer. It's not like they're going to wear that while performing."
"Micropants are 'in' these days so what's the problem."
"Wow Yunjin's proportions are no joke."
"I couldn't care less about she's wearing but littering in the street... that is so not cool."
"There are way crazier and revealing outfits at fashion shows."
"I saw this fashion trend on Instagram the other day lol."
"She looks good, just really cold hahahaha."
"Hate all you want, I wanna see Yunjin wearing that at Coachella!"
"Huh Yunjin hot girl."
"Obviously, they wouldn't just wear that out in public on a random day. It's for the comeback concept, and it's not like they're minors, so there's no issue."
Meanwhile, LE SSERAFIM's 'EASY' is set for release next month on February 19.
