Jo Kwon took to Instagram to affirm that he and HyunA remain good friends.
On January 20th, 2AM's Jo Kwon and EXID's Hani were found to have unfollowed HyunA on social media, and it has been causing speculation that her celebrity friends may disapprove of the relationship.
However, Jo Kwon updated his Instagram story later on this day, saying, "Regardless of following (on Instagram), I'm good friends with HyunA. We KaTalk(message) and talk on the phone. What is going on all of a sudden..?"
Meanwhile, HyunA recently caused a stir when she revealed she was dating the former Highlight member with many netizens questioning her decisions due to his past controversy and her breakup with longtime boyfriend Dawn in November of 2022.

This is embarrassing. I hate when celebs try to act better than us and say things like “who I follow is no biggie and people over read into things” as if that makes any sense in this situation. Maybe for other situations but unfollowing her after she started dating someone involved with burning sun seems like a pretty clear cut situation to me.
