Jang Geun Suk's band 'Chimiro' is set to release their second album this March.
In a conversation with Sports Korea on the 22nd, a representative of Jang Geun-suk's 'Chimiro' stated, "The work on the songs is almost complete, and we are now entering the final stages."
Jang Geun-suk's 'Chimiro' band's second album focuses on a different charm and centers on a retro sound. It embodies a 'time travel' concept, incorporating various genres ranging from the 1980s disco style to the 1960s, while infusing Chimiro's unique rock sensibility into the sound.
Following the release of their second album, Jang Geun-suk's Chimiro plans to embark on tours in Korea and Japan.
The 'Chimiro' band consists of vocalist Jang Geun-suk, renowned drama OST director Choi Chul-ho, and famous session guitarist An Ji-hoon, forming a trio with twin guitars. For live tours, they are joined by guest bassists and drummers. In 2023, they performed as a quintet with the incredibly talented bassist Jang Tae-woong.
The band's name 'Chimiro' is a Japanese pronunciation of 'Chimi-ro,' which means in Korean 'as a hobby,' reflecting the group's approach to music.
When the first album was released in 2023, it seemed so good, that fans are really looking for the second one!
