After a 9-month hiatus for health reasons, Go U has chosen to part ways with BLITZERS.
Wuzo Entertainment clarified on January 29, "Go U has been on hiatus since April 2023 due to health reasons, focusing on receiving adequate treatment and rest."
BLITZER's agency further explained, "During this period, discussions were held with Go U about future activities in the entertainment industry. After careful consideration, it was decided to conclude BLITZERS' activities and prioritize Go U's health recovery for the time being."
The agency expressed regret in their statement, saying, "We apologize for delivering this sudden news to the fans who have always cherished and loved BLITZERS. Although Go U's journey as a member of BLITZERS has come to an end, we seek warm support to aid Go U in a healthy recovery."
BLITZERS made their debut in May 2021 with the release of their first album 'Check In' and actively promoted, following up with their second single album 'Macarena' in April of the subsequent year.
Go U initially suspended activities in April of the preceding year due to health issues but, unfortunately, was unable to make a full recovery, leading to the decision to withdraw from the team. Consequently, BLITZERS will move forward with a 6-member lineup comprising JinHwa, Juhan, Sya, Chris, Lutan, and Wooju.
Sad but if it’s better for his health he needed to leave. Wish him all the best in the future.
