BLACKPINK's Jisoo reportedly decided to undertake solo activities under the management of her brother's agency.
According to an exclusive media report on January 2nd, Jisoo has signed on with her brother's agency Blissoo. Blissoo is a spinoff entertainment startup under Biomom, Inc., where Jisoo's brother is the CEO. Blissoo recently posted an ad looking for experienced hires with Jisoo's picture.
A representative from Biomom, Inc. denied to give a comment on the issue saying, "It's complicated to define the company's relationship with Blissoo. I don't know the CEO's family relationship either."
Meanwhile, YG Entertainment released an official statement to confirm that the members of BLACKPINK will not carry out their individual promotions under the label on December 29th.
In other words, she wanted to set up an agency and couldn't figure out how, so her brother offered to create an offshoot of his company for her.
I don't know how smart this is. First, it takes a great deal of trust to go into business with family, and second, it's not going to be able to help her develop as an actor or performer, since they'd be starting from scratch.
