82MAJOR (Nam Seong-mo, Park Seok-jun, Yoon Ye-chan, Jo Seong-il, Hwang Seong-bin, Kim Do-gyun) met with fans at their first solo concert '82 PEOPLE' held at Musinsa Garage on the 20th.
'82 PEOPLE' is 82MAJOR’s first concert bearing their name, just three months after their debut. The concert quickly sold out immediately after ticket sales opened, reflecting the immense interest in the event. The members repaid the enthusiastic support of the audience with a well-prepared setlist and dynamic hip-hop performances.
Proving their nickname as a 'performance-type idol', 82MAJOR captivated the audience with a diverse range of charms, including live performances, DJing, and an engaging sense of humor. In addition to their debut song 'FIRST CLASS' and 'Sure Thing', the concert featured a series of exclusive performances only available at '82 PEOPLE', including their self-composed songs like '82', 'Overheating', '2AM Drive', tracks released on SoundCloud, and even unreleased songs.
The concert heated up with a battle stage divided into two teams: the 'Beast Team'. Each team put up a fierce unit stage battle with their self-composed songs and also perfectly covered BLACKPINK's 'Whistle' and 'Pink Venom', sending the audience into a frenzy.
In the ending and encore stages, 82MAJOR continued to energize the dynamic performance without showing any signs of fatigue. After wrapping up the densely packed 90-minute concert, the members expressed their gratitude by sharing high-fives with every audience member.
Debuting in October last year with the ambition to become 'Major' representatives of South Korea, denoted by the country code '82', 82MAJOR has made a strong impression with their solid skills, superior physical abilities, and attractive visuals, not typical of a rookie group. Recently, they have also showcased high-quality performances on stages like the '2023 Genie Music Festival' and ‘2023 SeoulCon X K-pop FESTIVAL - COUNTDOWN'.
Following their successful first solo concert, 82MAJOR plans to continue meeting fans through various performances.
They sound exciting. A group that pens its own material, and is building their popularity through live performances rather than hype and being a clone of someone else.
.
I hope they do very well.
