On the latest installment of the YouTube show 'Jo Hyun Ah's Thursday Night', guest Girls' Generation's Sooyoung told the sad and funny story of how a young man in his twenties tried so hard to pick her up. 

The Girls' Generation member began, "It was either early this year, or late last year, in Apgujeong. See, these two young men, they looked like in their early twenties? And they were walking toward me with their phone in hand."

She continued, "I thought that they wanted to take a picture with me. But then he was like, 'Hi, so I don't normally do stuff like this, seriously this is the first time in my life...'. And I was like, 'Oh it must be his first time asking a celebrity to take a picture~'. But then he went, 'If it's not too much trouble, can I get your number?'." 

Freaking out while hearing the story, Jo Hyun Ah asked, "Were you wearing a mask?" Sooyoung nodded and went on, "I was wearing a mask, but when I heard that, I even lowered my mask and went, 'Excuse me?'. But he just repeated himself, going, 'Can I get your number?'."

Furthermore, Sooyoung explained, "And then his friend next to him was all, 'I can vouch for this guy. This guy has never once, in all the time I've known him, asked a girl for their number.' So then I said, 'Sorry, but I have a boyfriend'. But then he thought that I was just saying that to turn him down. He literally asked me, 'How long have you dated that person?'." 

Sooyoung couldn't believe it herself either, as she recalled, "So then I told him, '10 years'. He still wouldn't give up, and told me to give him my number anyway, so that when I wrote 'Men are all the same' on my KakaoTalk profile, he'd contact me then."

Ultimately, Sooyoung couldn't bring herself to reveal who she actually was, as she remarked, "Half of me didn't want to embarrass that child, but half of me was kind of thinking, 'What if he just says, 'Who? Sooyoung of Girls' Generation?'. But still, I was happy about it."
