Jeon Do Yeon takes charge of 'The Price of Confession'.
As exclusively reported by Star News on the 20th, Jeon DoYeon has been cast as the female lead in the new drama 'The Price of Confession.'
'The Price of Confession' is a project that has undergone many twists and turns since last year. It is a bloody chronicle surrounding a murder case involving two women. Initially, it was reported that the drama would be directed by Lee Eung-bok, known for his work on 'Descendants of the Sun,' 'Goblin,' 'Mr. Sunshine,' 'Sweet Home,' and 'Jirisan.' Song Hye Kyo and Han So Hee were initially cast, forming a highly anticipated combination. However, Lee Eung-bok had to step down due to health reasons.
Moreover, due to creative differences with the production team, both Song Hye Kyo and Han So Hee withdrew from the project, and director Shim Na-yeon, who was approached to take over, ultimately decided not to join 'The Price of Confession.' This led to a complete reshuffle of the project.
'The Price of Confession' has now appointed a new director, Lee Jung-hyo. Lee is known for his sensitive and stylish direction in series like 'I Need Romance,' 'The Good Wife,' 'Life on Mars,' 'Romance is a Bonus Book,' 'Crash Landing on You,' and 'Doona!'
The female lead role has been taken up by Jeon Do Yeon. Jeon and Lee Jung Hyo have previously worked together on the 2016 tvN drama 'The Good Wife.'
'The Price of Confession' is currently discussing OTT distribution and plans to start full-scale production once casting is finalized.
Jeon Do Yeon is also awaiting the release of her upcoming film 'Revolver.' The movie, featuring a former police officer relentlessly pursuing a single objective and goal, stars Jeon DoYeon, Ji Chang Wook, and Lim Ji Yeon.
I was so excited for Song Hye Kyo and Han So Hee but Jeon Do Yeon is a great choice. Wonder who the other actress will be.
