City pop musician Yukika delivered news of her retirement from the music scene, simultaneously with the release of her last album, 'Time-Lapse'. 

Featuring a total of 6 tracks, 'Time-Lapse' is a remake album, reprising city pop style hits from the 1980's and 90's. Shortly after the release of the album on December 1 at 6 PM KST, Yukika dedicated the following to her fans via Instagram:

"Today, finally, finally, the album has been released.

Since I wrapped up the recording early in 2023, I waited and waited, wondering when it would be released, and now it's out!

Actually, the initial release goal was supposed to be last year, so I kept telling my fans that I had been working on the album since last year, but I ended up making you wait much longer. I'm sorry. Thank you for waiting!

And, after years of thinking, I think this album will be my last album!

Nobody knows what the future holds in life, but...

It was such an honor to cover these famous, lovely, and great songs for my last album, and I'm really grateful to the Yumizus who always look forward to and support my new music. I'm so relieved that I can deliver this gift to you safely.

Yukika, who debuted as a solo artist in February of 2019 with her 1st single 'NEON', is known as a representative city pop artist through songs like "Soul Lady", "Scent", "Insomnia", and more. In June of 2022, the musician announced her marriage to former MAP6 member Kim Min Hyuk.
