tripleS recently unveiled the members of their eagerly anticipated Ballad Unit, featuring a lineup that includes Seo DaHyun, Lee JiWoo, Kim ChaeYeon, Kaede, and Nien. This announcement follows the group's earlier disclosure of plans to form a Ballad unit.

The selection process involved GRAVITY, the group's unique voting system, which was employed to decide the final lineup from among the 16 group members. Seo DaHyun had been pre-selected by the company to be a part of this unit prior to the commencement of the voting process.

To create a shortlist for the fan voting, seven random combinations, each consisting of four members, were drawn from a pool of mystery balls. These combinations represented the different lineup options from which fans could select. The voting period, which spanned from November 22nd to 24th, 2023, culminated in Combination D garnering the highest number of votes, thereby determining the members who would join Seo DaHyun in the Ballad Unit.

The voting candidates:

• Combination A: Kim NaKyoung, Kaede, Mayu, Kwak YeonJi
• Combination B: Gong YuBin, Kim YooYeon, Yoon SeoYeon, Park SoHyun
• Combination C: Kotone, Jeong HyeRin, Xinyu, Kim SooMin
• Combination D: Nien, Kim ChaeYeon, Lee JiWoo, Kaede
• Combination E: Xinyu, Yoon SeoYeon, Jeong HyeRin, Kim ChaeYeon
• Combination F: Jiwoo, Mayu, Nien, Yeonji
• ⁠Combination G: Gong YuBin, Kotone, Kim NaKyoung, Kim SooMin

tripleS will reveal candidates for the official group name, which fans can also vote for. The voting of the group name will take place from the 28th - 30th of November. Fans can vote for the group name on the COSMO app.
