Seventeen's Hoshi recently expressed unease towards overly passionate fans who have been disrespecting personal boundaries. This issue surfaced when the K-Pop star was live streaming on Weverse on November 9.
During the live session, Hoshi was constantly interrupted by calls. Frustrated, he voiced out, "If you call me, I won't do live streams. Don't call me." It turned out that someone kept calling Hoshi during the live broadcast. Hoshi expressed his frustration, saying, "I'm annoyed by those who keep calling, and even if I restrict calls, I can still report and take legal action. I don't take legal action because I'm worried they might be young." He continued, "I try to spend quality time with Carats (the fandom) when I have the time, so why do you interfere? Do you want to confirm if it's my number? They have no manners."
This was not the first incident; he had previously warned fans against similar behaviors during a live broadcast last month, stating, "Seriously, if you call during the live streaming, I will reveal your number, so please don't call."
Despite his warnings, the issue persisted, with fans continually disrupting the live broadcasts. This upsetting trend affects not only Hoshi, but other members of Seventeen as well. They, too, have had to deal with calls from these overzealous fans, known as Sasaengs, during their live sessions.
On November 7, Jeonghan was notably distressed when he received a call during a live broadcast with Mingyu. Voicing his discomfort, he stated, "So this is why Mingyu finds it challenging." He subsequently put down his chopsticks in frustration and declared, "It's very wrong."
K-netizens were again angered and commented, "I wish they were all sued," "Just calling them constantly proves they're Sasaeng fans," "Sasaeng fans are so disgusting," "I'm not even a Seventeen fan but I feel bad and get so annoyed with Sasaeng fans who do that to them," "The company needs to take stern action," "How do they find out their phone numbers?" "Sasaengs are not fans," and "Let's sue them all."
Reveal their numbers or go to court and let them have it. Unacceptable behaviour.
