Lee Young Ae Donates Approx. 45,000 US Dollars (50 Million Korean Won) to Children in Gaza Conflict
Lee Young-ae has generously donated $45,000 to aid children impacted by the Gaza conflict.
On the 21st, the Korean Red Cross announced Lee Young-ae’s contribution towards emergency relief efforts for children severely affected by the ongoing armed conflict in Gaza.
Expressing her concern, Lee Young-ae stated, “The continuous influx of heartbreaking news deeply saddens me. I hope this contribution provides some relief to the children who have lost family members and are enduring the harrowing ordeal of war.”
The funds from Lee Young-ae will support medical care for children in conflict zones and aid in the distribution of essential supplies, in collaboration with the International Red Cross Movement.
As reported by the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA) on the 20th, the recent armed conflict has resulted in significant casualties. In Gaza, the number of children affected is particularly alarming.

Her philanthropic efforts span various causes, including support for the Guryong Village fire victims, flood relief in Chungcheong, COVID-19 aid, assistance for Ukrainian refugees, and ongoing support for pediatric cancer patients. She also annually contributes to educational funds for children of deceased soldiers and Korean War veterans.
As an actress, Lee Young-ae is preparing to play the lead role of Cha Se-eum in the upcoming tvN drama ‘Maestro,’ set to premiere on December 9th.
