KBS is gearing up for the launch of a new idol survival program. According to E daily, KBS has recently started preparing for the production of a survival audition program to select members for a boy group that will be active on the global stage.
It has been reported that they are actively scouting talent, aiming to start broadcasting in the first half of next year.
This marks the first time KBS is presenting an idol survival program since 'The Unit: Idol Rebooting Project' on KBS 2TV ended in February 2018.
If the broadcast proceeds as planned next year, it will launch a new idol survival program nearly six years later.
'The Unit: Idol Rebooting Project' featured idol singers who had already debuted. The program led to the formation of the boy group UNB and the girl group Uni.T, who then engaged in project activities.
The new program in preparation is reportedly targeting aspiring talents who dream of becoming idol stars, and it will be a global audition without nationality restrictions.
It remains to be seen whether this program will significantly boost K-pop's global appeal.
Not another one.
