"Action acting is extremely challenging, but the charm and sense of achievement that comes after conquering it is incredibly rewarding," shared actor Ji Chang Wook, reflecting on his experience while filming for the Disney+ original 'The Worst Evil'.
In a recent interview, Ji Chang Wook opened up about his journey on 'The Worst Evil'. Expressing his sentiments over the show's end, the actor said, “It feels like we’ve been engrossed in filming for an eternity, and it is heart-wrenching to say goodbye.”
'The Worst Evil' is a riveting crime-action drama that boldly portrays the covert operations and subsequent investigations of the police in Gangnam, Seoul during the 90s. Ji Chang Wook embodies the character Park Jun Mo, a police officer who goes undercover to infiltrate the Gangnam Union and its drug operations.
Sharing the intricacies of the filming process, Ji Chang Wook revealed, “Despite filming wrapping up in April, post-production work was an arduous journey. It demanded my utmost dedication and perseverance but the end result is something that I can confidently say I am proud of.”
Ji Chang Wook also took the opportunity to express his appreciation for the melodrama, even while performing action scenes.
Concluding his thoughts, the actor reflected on the project saying, “I take no substantial glory from 'The Worst Evil.' This project was as intense as any other; full of challenges but truly rewarding.” He further shared his optimism about remembering the project as a delightful experience in retrospect. With an eye towards the future, he expressed his ambition to enhance his performance in upcoming projects and his dedication to continuously tackling novel roles.
It was great to watch him outside a romcom series again. About time. He is such a good actor, the show was awsome to follow. Kudos for all of them.
