Singer G-Dragon, who willingly went to the police station for questioning, stressed that he didn't do anything wrong and wanted a fair investigation.
On the 6th, G-Dragon posted the Chinese saying '事必歸正' (meaning 'everything eventually gets back on track') on his Instagram. He explained it as, "In the end, things will work out right. Even if things seem unclear at first, and wrong actions might temporarily succeed, they won't last, and everything will come right."
He shared this after spending about 4 hours answering police questions in the afternoon. Using this saying seemed to emphasize his innocence and the need for a thorough investigation.
G-Dragon appeared at the Incheon Police Narcotics Investigation Unit on the same day, just about two weeks after being accused of drug use and announcing he'd attend voluntarily.
When reporters asked if he admitted to the drug allegations, he said, "I didn't do any drug-related crimes. I'm here to clear my name quickly."
G-Dragon smiled and stretched as he went into the police station.
After the questioning, he highlighted that the preliminary drug test was 'negative' and said, "I fully cooperated, providing all necessary information and samples, including hair." He added, "I hope the investigating agency will make an official statement soon if the results are correct."
When asked if the police presented any evidence, he said, "No, there wasn't any." He also said, "I don't think the investigation was unfair. I understand that the police are just doing their job based on someone's statement."
As for the details of the investigation, he jokingly said, "It ended with laughter."
The police plan to request a more precise examination of urine and hair samples by the National Forensic Service to confirm G-Dragon's drug use status.
