Netflix's newest series, 'Daily Dose of Sunshine,' takes a deep dive into the emotionally charged world of mental health care. The storyline centers on Da Eun, a bright young nurse fresh to the complex atmosphere of a psychiatric ward. Character stills for the poignant series were unveiled on October 11, showcasing a diverse cast that will bring vibrant narratives within and beyond the walls of the mental health unit at Myungshin University Hospital.
Park Bo Young skillfully steps into the shoes of Jeong Da Eun, a nurse recently transferred from the internal medicine department to the psychiatric ward at the hospital. Da Eun radiates warmth and empathy, striving always to give her best for the patients.
Taking on the role of Dong Go Yoon, a colorectal surgeon, is Yeon Woo Jin. Despite his wealth of surgical skill, Go Yoon grapples with the impact of his thick knuckles which cause persistent stiffness.
Jang Dong Yoon takes on the part of Song Yu Chan, Da Eun’s childhood friend, and Go Yoon’s junior from college. Following a stint at a significant corporation, Yu Chan has returned to his roots, helping out at his parents' chicken restaurant.
Last but not least, Lee Jeong Eun brings life to Song Hyo Shin, the head nurse of the psychiatry department. With an unrivaled understanding of the patients and their guardians, Hyo Shin’s firm guidance proves invaluable for Da Eun and other nursing staff.
'Daily Dose of Sunshine,' a compelling portrayal of compassion and resolve within the world of mental health care, will make its Netflix debut on November 3.
